How can we detect even the smallest residues of antibiotics in water? Water Technology student Eric is going to find out!

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently sounded the alarm about antibiotic resistance. Due to reckless use, more and more antibiotics are entering the environment, where bacteria develop resistance. The exact volumes are unknown. Eric therefore wants to develop a method for detecting antibiotics in water. And that is no easy task, because only 1 in 3.5 billion molecules is an antibiotic.

If Eric wins the Changemaker Challenge, he wants to use the grant to develop a standard extraction technique that works on the basis of electric fields.
